the history of capital punishment

Maybe it’s just because my summer job brings me into contact with America’s own weird system of capital punishment, but I found this doc by the BBC pretty interesting:

It’s good! (If unsurprisingly Brit-centric.) Watch all six parts!

Fascinating fact: although 35 states have the death penalty on the books, about half of all actual executions are performed in Texas.
